While Christmas is over, the hectic season is still lingering. A wedding in 3 days...on New Year's Eve! Our oldest son is marrying his high school sweetheart. We can't wait...what better way to celebrate the new year than to see a new life start...a new family come together!
Everything is almost ready...just a few minor details to finish. Then we get to get all dressed up and enjoy the party.
New Year's day we are hosting an open house for all the relatives who will be in town for the wedding. I think this may be a new annual event for us.
I usually make the same old new year's resolutions...lose weight, exercise more...blah blah. This year I have a new perspective on life so hopefully my resolutions will reflect this. My resolutions include:
*Find lots of ways to enjoy my last months with our youngest son - who heads off to college in the Fall
*Make more time for friends.
*Live my life more artfully - show off my creativity in my home, in my office,in how I dress.
*Take more pictures - take a class in digital photography, take more family pictures (especially ones that include ME - since I always duck out of pictures), take a photo or two daily that reflect my day/life - this website is my inspiration - 365 Photos.
*Learn to knit beyond a scarf, hat or felted purse - try a sweater or lace project - one that I will wear. Learn to read patterns better.
Until the new year - peace and health to all!
