We have had crazy weather for the past month. March saw days in the 80s. Yet this past week it has felt like January - temps in the teens at night and 30s during the day. Our poor garden is a bit confused.
We bought kayaks a few weeks ago and have been antsy to get them in the water. Last Saturday it was projected it would be in the 60s - still chilly for kayaking but we just needed to go. We drove to a local state park with a smallish lake. We were dressed appropriately since it really was only about 58 and very windy. Everything was fine until our last pass across the lake - into the wind. Water was spraying up into the boats and by the time we were done I was wet from the waist down - and frozen. Considering I was just a week past battling bronchitis - this was probably not my smartest move. I could not get warm. Even after coming home, changing into warm clothes, making a pot of tea and piling on the blankets - I had the chills.
And I am feeling the effects of wet feet and chilly winds combined with my still not gone bronchitis. Not a smart move on my part.
And to further complicate the weather outlook - it was 55 on Thursday and rainy, this morning we had snow squalls and they are calling for 1-3" of snow tomorrow. Crazy weather!
