Oh what a fabulous 3 day weekend! Saturday was spent cooking and getting the yard set up for a big picnic. Sunday both boys and their families were home. We had a gathering of family and friends for our annual picnic. The weather was perfect and the company was wonderful! The last guests left around 10 pm - which made for a really long day but it was so worth it. I waited up to make sure our oldest son and his family got home ok and chatted with our youngest and his wife who were staying the night. We all settled in about midnight - which is way past my bedtime - yet I was up early the next day. Monday was gorgeous as well and I was on the deck at 6:30 am with coffee and knitting - oh and two dogs - as my son's dogs were up early. Our youngest joined me for coffee - while hubby headed off to the golf course and my DIL slept in.
Here are my favorite pictures from the weekend:
Miss Avery with her cherry sunglasses
Miss Harper - always smiling!
Our youngest son's dogs - Basil and then Ivy
Monday morning - switched to iced tea with knitting and music on my Kindle - the Carol King station on Pandora radio.
A gorgeous hanging basket from my nephew and his wife.
