Busy, busy weekend - but oh so fun! Our youngest and his wife came for the weekend. They had bought us tickets to see Straight No Chaser at the Hershey Theatre as our Christmas present. It is very sad to think we have lived here more than 30 years and have never been to this theatre. The building is beautiful and I was glad we got there early so we could take in all the gorgeous architecture. The show was fabulous and if you ever get the chance to see this a capella group I would highly recommend it.
Our seats were up in the balcony area but because this is a fairly small setting I think every seat had a great view.
I will say that on this Monday morning I am so very tired. We were up late both Friday and Saturday nights - way past my bedtime. Friday we all sat up late talking and laughing. Saturday morning was spent in pj's, sitting in the living room knitting while chatting with my DIL while she worked on a cross stitch. I feel very blessed that I have a good relationship with both of my DILs. We ate a quick lunch then headed off to Troeg's for a beer. Yes we do go there nearly every weekend - but the brewery is quite nice and the beer is fabulous.
Back home to watch some football and then dinner out before the 8 pm show. We had such a good time - the show was a mix of regular and Christmas music. My only complaint was some of the rude people attending. So many people showed up late to be seated after the show had started. This annoys me so much. And then there were the people who could just not sit through the show - either talking loudly during it or constantly up and down. Maybe my patience isn't what it used to be.
Hubby and I did some Christmas shopping and then got caught up in traffic as the snow fell and the roads got icy. There were accidents all over the place. But got home safely and settled in - me with some knitting and a Hallmark channel Christmas movie - Christmas in Conway - which was so sad. I was teary eyed through most of it.
This morning found lots of ice overtop the snow - which made for a slippery morning commute. My only saving grace is I come in so early to work that there is rarely much traffic. So I get to work befor ethe crazies get on the road.
How was your weekend? Joining up with Amanda.
