It was a lazy kind of weekend. I am still nursing my knee injury and decided to stay off of it as much as possible this weekend. This meant lots of couch time with it propped up and iced - which lead to lots of knitting time.
I finished my Hitchliker last week and it got blocked along with my Color Affection - which I finished months ago! Blocking pictures below - finished pictures later.
I cast on a sock on Friday and knit the cuff, heel and part of the foot. It is in Miss Babs Yummy in the Witch's Potion colorway - so fun - purples, yellows, oranges. I am doing the Vanilla Latte sock pattern - free on Ravelry.
I also cast on Brickless - another Martina Behm pattern (she also designed Hitchhiker) in Miss Babs Yowza. Pictures later this week.
I did venture out twice this weekend - once to visit a local Winery/Brewery - The Vineyard and Brewery of Hershey. We sat outside on their patio and had a beer - mine was Hip Hoppy IPA - which was good but I have had better. They had a local guy playing the guitar and singing - and he is really good. It was a beautiful afternoon to sit outside.
The only other time I ventured out was to the grocery store on Sunday - only to have my car not start - UGH! I ended up taking my hubby's truck while he looked at my car. We jumped it and he took it in for a new battery - all fixed!
So overall a productive knitting weekend - but not much else. Sometimes we need weekends of relaxation.
