Joining Carole Knits' 10 on Tuesday - topic this week is 10 Favorite Things That are Green. Since green is my favorite color I thought this would be an easy topic - but not so much - but came up with 10!
- My gardens - especially my shade garden since it is full of greens - and not much other color. Love the various hostas and ferns.
- Herbs - basil, rosemary, thyme...can't wait for fresh herbs again!
- Succulents - had a small container filled with succulents last year as well as an old chicken feeder planted with them. Hope to add more this year.
- Green Tea - tea is usually my drink of choice and while I love a good black tea - I do have a few favorite green teas as well.
- Limes - especially in a gin and tonic!
- Green veggies - salad greens, asparagus, broccoli, etc - yum!
- Grass, leaves, moss - just about anything to do with the outdoors.
- Peridot - my birthstone. Never liked this growing up but have learned to love it. My favorite bracelet is made with peridot.
- Depression Glass - I have several lovely pieces from my mother-in-law.
- McCoy Pottery - I have several pieces of this pottery which I love. From my great-grandfather I have a lovely teapot, sugar bowl and creamer. I also have several flower pots from my grandmother which I use for African Violets - just like she did.
