Joining up with Carole Knits for her 10 on Tuesday post. Topic this week is a great one - 10 Mittens/Mitts You Want to Knit. With cold weather coming I have several patterns I want to knit. Plus they are quick and easy and make great Christmas presents.
First on my list are a few from Kirsten Kapur - love her patterns!
- Twizz Mitts
- Wood Hollow Mittens - has a matching hat pattern
- Sofie's Mitts - also has a great matching hat pattern
- Breathe Deep
Next are two favorites from Churchmouse Yarns and Tea
I have these fingering weight baby mittens on my needles now - although I am using slightly thicker yarn than fingering and adjusted the pattern. I will be making a hat in matching yarn - Yowza from Miss Babs in the colorway Sugar - which is the perfect pink. And boy does one skein of this go a long way. I have knit a baby sweater, a tiny hat, baby socks and now mittens and a hat. Plus it is superwash - perfect for baby knits - and oh so soft.
I started Strago Mittens by Jared Flood last winter and never finished them - so they are next up on my list.
Can't wait to read what other patterns people posted. Mittens and cowls seem to be what I want to knit lately!
