Today was a typical blustery cold day in PA. Each morning I reach for a wooly knitted piece to wear to work with my coat. This morning I chose my newest finished object - Dryad Scarf - by Brooklyn Tweed - aka Jared Flood. Loved the pattern - which I knit from the charts - yea me! Directions were very clear and produced a lovely cabled scarf. I miss-crossed two cables along the way but decided not to frog and fix. The yarn I used was from Knit Picks - City Tweed - a wonderfully soft yet tweedy yarn in the Splash colorway - a greeny-blue color.

I haven't blocked the scarf as I really wanted to wear it this morning - but plan on steam blocking it this weekend and taking a better picture. I made a size between the M and L so it is about 75" long and is the perfect length. I like scarves I can wrap up in and this was great this morning.
I have knit several Brooklyn Tweed patterns now and find them to be really well written with clear instructions. He now has his own yarn as well - Shelter - and I did succumb to buying 2 skeins and plan on making a scarf for my husband.

It's really beautiful!

Is his yarn as wonderful as it looks? Nice projects! No knitted pillows for the office though, or did I miss them?
