I have read Carole Knits blog for years and love her 10 on Tuesday posts. A few other blogs I read also contribute to this so I thought I would join in.
This week’s Ten on Tuesday topic: 10 Things You Love About Thanksgiving - this is an easy one to start out with because I ADORE Thanksgiving! I think it is because other than the food there are no other expectations - no presents, no baskets, no candy...
Having my son home for the long weekend from college.
- Having my son home for the long weekend from college.
- Turkey - I love turkey. We are roasting a turkey and smoking a turkey breast.
- Stuffing - or dressing - depending on where you live. I like basic style - no fruit or meat added - I use a blend of various breads though - white, wheat, rye, etc. - lots of sage and thyme.
- Pumpkin Pie - I am not a big pie lover but do love some pumpkin pie!
- Sweet potatoes -but without marshmallows - I make a delicious sweet potato casserole with OJ, butter, brown sugar and pecans.
- Family - spending the day with my family and relaxing - lots of love and laughter around our table!
- Good wine - Yum.
- Games - we always seem to play some games - and we can be brutal sometimes! I remember some great games of pictionary. Last year it was a dice game called "Left, Right, Center."
- Crisp fall weather - perfect for a walk after dinner.
- Leftovers! Love turkey sandwiches and turkey rice soup!

The leftovers are a wonderful part of the holiday! Enjoy!
